Well the weather finally cooperated enough to camp, so I headed down to Trenton of all places to kick off our camping season. This event is smallish, but growing. It's been going for four years as an overnight campout followed by an air-cooled show and swap meet. Fairly close to home (under an hour) and most of my Moonie crew showed up, so it was great to see my friends and catch up after a long, clinging, cold and wet winter and to plan for this years campouts. (Which for me usually means trying to convince my friends to come to HCBF)
The problem with campout/car show events is that I find that when I get home, I am driven to work on my bus. So as soon as I got back to the barn, I started painting bumpers, pulling out dents, removing rust and slopping on the bondo. It was a good show, while not huge, but good quality and more than enough envy to go around.
My thanks to the German American Society of Trenton and Old School Euros Car Club for making it happen!
