Shifter ball popped out the holder piece on the rod on Sunday. Every time I put it back, it wouldn’t shift into 3 or 4
I have a bugtech shifter on the way but i’m Not sure if it will make it by this weekend and I leave Sat for high country. So getting it fixed is a high priority
Any tips to getting the stock shifter adjusted so I can at least get the shifter to go to the right side? I do have the quick shift installed. I tried taking it out and the shifter was super tight.
Fine tuning I can do.

Update. On examining the existing shifter and a spare. On The existing one, the pin doesn’t stay in. See pictures The second one is the existing one
Could this be an issue other than being a PITA to get it to seat

I replaced the front bushing in front of the shifter and replaced the shifter with one from bug-tech. Also had to adjust the shift rod near the master cylinder but now
