What do you do about insurance on your vehicle when it is not being used over the winter? I want to keep it insured for its replacement value, but not have liability etc

Think that depends on state\ins company regulation.  In VA, a registered vehicle must have liability.  I always keep my bus insured - just in case that warm winter, non-salty road day arrives and I want to tootle around town.

I'm going to be gone at least until late February, maybe longer. The bus wont be driven, will be stored on private property. I'm in Ohio, wondered what Ohio VW people do about this. I dont want to pay for 3 or 4  months that I am not driving it, but my insurance company is not very helpful.

In SC, if we cancel insurance we need to turn in the tag and then buy a new one when we reinstate insurance, so we pay one way or another.

USAA has a classification of storage where they have a minimal charge for storage only.
