Need an automatic transmission | Forum

Hello, what is your budget? Are you looking for a good used or rebuilt? Do you need the automatic section only or the entire transaxle? I have a 90 that I may be removing the drivetrain from for another project in the near future. 

I'm looking for just the automatic section so a known good used one will work. Not looking at spending a huge amount. Thanks!

You probably know this but VW and Audi used that style auto in many models. Trick racing is the auto section from an Audi 5000 and 200 turbo.

I didn't know you can use an Audi, but I also notice that they are pretty scarce around here!! I have a tranny but I don't know what shape it is in...I'm going to try and install it to see if it is better than my old one...
