Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

Since I dont think my wife is going to share my entheusiasm, I figured I'd share with y'all, just ordered my lower windshield repair panel from Monkeynut! Got an old photo of Festus, should be getting my new camera in the next couple of days though.

One of these days Ill be able to get one for the wife. She wants a double but would be just as happy with a single.

What happened to the good ole days when corn, cows and chickens were as good as money

The lower windshield repair panel has arrived via Monkeynuts, and I wept tears of joy. If I didn't have a million things to do today I'd be cutting and fitting.

Wait? Wont take long since I already have a motor in it.

Festus already moves around under his own power and now that he had brakes he stops under his own power as well.

Just curious... what was the price difference of ordering the repair panel from monkeynut rather than gerson directly?

With shipping for an oversized package the total was just under 170

Thanks, but what I was wondering was if you had priced it shipped direct from Gerson and ordered from monkeynut because the shipping was prohibitive. I thought maybe you bought from them to save on shipping.

How bad is your windshield area rusted out? I wish I had the tools and the skill to do the sheet metal repair on my bus. At least I have Boyd for that!

Thanks Boyd. I'd found that site before, the way everyone has been speaking of Gerson, I thought it was a different site and Klassic Fab was just a distributor?

Not a very quick site to browse. Were bay window parts listed somewhere?

Ronnie at Bustoration is very reasonable on the funky green and also very knowledgeable. And as a bonus, he speaks excellent English.

I will agree that Ronnie is a great guy and knows his business. I had the pleasure of going to his shop a few years back in Havasu. Even though he was busy, he took the time to hang out and talk buses with me. I have not dealt with the Monkeynut boys in Charlotte but will be soon.

Randy,
They sell Gerson's green metal. We have a problem with a wrong section they sent for Matthew's bus. We will see how it is resolved.

Gerson seemed to speak English just fine both in email and in person...

I don't think the baywindow stuff is on their site yet. When I got mine in November it was pretty new and he said he hoped to have doglegs out early this year. All he had at the time was the windshield lip and the floors... which were the two parts i really needed.
