Does anyone know if there will be another Blue Ridge Bus Tour later in the year?

Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

I really like the way the go westy one fits, but in saying that I have a bus depot one on my vannie . I think it came from just kampers . It fit real nice but it helped that I had the roof off to paint it. Do not get the cheap ones. later mark d

We have the cheapest Go Westy canvas. It's real nice and much thicker than the Bus Depot variety (which is also alot cheaper). We are happy with it, although, we have the grey and it did fade over the last 3 years. Whatever you get, make sure it has 3 windows as that makes a huge difference! Wish we would have gotten the hemp tent, but we needed fast and they were on backorder at the time.

Why?? what is so special about the hemp tent?? seems to me that it would smell like old rope when it gets wet. Also seeing how a lot of these tents don't fit very well ,I would suspect the hemp being after market would probably suffer from the same pattern. Ask Phil about the bus depot one that didn't fit at BOTR last year, window screen ripped when they popped it up.
I suggest buying the best one out there , spend extra , remove the top to install it as you can get a better fit.

I will agree with Mark here. There are things to go cheap on but the canvas is not one of them. Have some pity on the poor sucker putting it in and if that is your have some pity on yourself. I put cheap canvasses right in the same category as cheap 1600cc mufflers. You will never regret buying the good one.

I happen to know someone that knows how to put one of the tops on a van without breaking it. The B.D. top was alright, just have to measure before putting the first staple in it. Had we measured we would have put the top on like "Jerry" wanted to, instead of like the instructions said to. A good top would be better, but you still have to make sure it's going to fit before starting.

We got the regular canvas tent ($360) instead of the acrylic tent ($460). Thats what my wife meant by cheapest. I have the later model roof with the screw in rails instead of the staples and it truly was a perfect fit. The only con is how the gray faded. I'm realistic and it has seen a lot of sun since we installed it. Just miss how nice the dark gray looked.

I am having MAJOR problems with the busdepot top I am trying to install on the 1974 westy, as it went up slowly it had no problems, But as the sun started to shine and it got hot today, it pulled the staples out of the top, and the screens all tore.. what went wrong???
I was away from it for about 3 hours, no high winds, or any wind at all... I had to remove screws to get it down with out fear of it ripping more... I don't think bus depot will take it back either...
