Yep 13 turns is ok. Putting back by number of turns is just a general guide to get it close assuming it was aligned correctly before you started.

So I was on my computer last night and came across a website talking about Chinese advertising. One of them was concerning VW's public safety campaign, where they asked the locals in a given province to come up with their vision of the future of transportation. This is what they came up with... makes my work look downright conservative.

I've already ordered a VW goose headed baby cooker, and btw 1626 is the temp they are cooked at, so they are crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside.

Whatever it is I can't get it to open but I will say the Asians have some of the most bizarre commercials I've ever seen. They make sense to them somehow but to a westerner they're just weird. They use all sorts of cartoon type characters/anime and some odd slapstick type stuff to sell all manner of products. You also see a good bit of the cheesy, over the top martial arts type stuff with the really silly looking special effects (they seem to really like it even though they have some of the best cutting edge computer graphics in the industry too). I'm not criticizing it, I actually find a lot of it funny, but it doesn't make sense to most westerners with the way our advertizing uses sex to sell everything.

If you've never been to any countries over here you really need to try to make it- they're a blast and most of the folks are really friendly (and the food kicks butt).

Honestly, somehow those bizzaro ads convey the feeling of bus ownership better than most english ads.
Sort of a chaotic fun "random joy" kind of thing.

What's owning a VW bus like? Well, it's like driving a super slow rice cooker while armies of VW Beetle Shoe wearing baby basketball players march past you. Or perhaps it's like driving a unicycle fondu sombrero.

"but that makes no sense"

Neither does owning a 43 year old van.

"...maybe Eurovans do suck. Let's discuss it at the top of this hill."

1968 VW Bus, was a westy, now it's its own bus.

I'm currently in Malaysia. I spent the last month bumming around east Malaysia and up to the Philippines for a few days.

Malaysia is kind of unique in that there are three major ethnic groups here: native Malaysians (which includes a bunch of different groups), Chinese and Indian. There's smaller groups of others too of course. The two major religions are Christianity and Islam with Hindu, Taoism and some others thrown in. It makes for an interesting mix as you get marketing directed towards everyone and then some that's more specific. There are TV stations in several languages along with a lot of imported TV programs- some of the funniest are the Indian since they have this fascination with singing and dancing (think the closing of Slumdog Millionaire) and they'll all just break out dancing in the middle of the show and then at the closing.
