225,000 miles on the EVC, its time to talk about replacing the transmission controller, valve body and the plastic circut thing. has anybody done this before, any ideas or suggestions?
Is there anything else I should replace while I have the trans open?
Are there specific error codes that a valve body corrects?

You ask all those hard questions, I don't know , but try this site https://www.wittrans.com/Default.aspx? and see if they can help you.

Thanks Bear yes, they have the parts. See you around New Years!
I am hoping to meet up with Kurt at New Bus and decifer the trans codes. GoWesty suggests replacing the trans computer first then replacing the Trans. Withoutt he trans codes, I plan to replace the valve body, test the ribbon cable, and if problem remains replace the controller. Of course the trans codes could change all that. What I was wondering was if anybody has heard of any other parts failing in these trannys, that I could replace. OR do I just start looking for a rebuilt trans, and forget about the whole thing?

my guess would be that you must replace exact part numbers with exact part numbers. ran into the problem with the ecm for one of my '93's
