Hi! My name is Carol. I am looking for a reliable and reasonably priced VW mechanic in the Savannah GA area. I have a 1971 bus that has dead AZ tags and a salvage title. I need to have it inspected in order to license it. To pass inspection it needs to have the blinkers fixed, neither works, they did in the beginning (4years ago) then, something happened and they stopped. Need to make sure the brake lights are good too. My horn needs to work and my right windshield wipers needs some minor stuff done to it. I haven't been able to drive it for almost 2 years but she runs well, just needs to get rolling again. Anyone know where I can find help? I'm use to having my bus family in Tucson around and never having her idle for long but, I don't personally know anyone on the east coast. Once I get her rolling, I hope to meet some of you folks at some of the camping trips in the future !

We have had a terrible run with cats recently. Two went missing when we moved in July, and then one of the new cats I got in August passed away today I don't really know what happened. He acted like he had a cold which is generally no big deal, but within 24 hours he was passed out on the bathroom floor barely breathing. I took him to the emergency vet (to the tune of $500) only to have him pass away hours later as they did nothing for him

So R.I.P. my dear Bamboo. I miss you!

Lauren, I feel your pain. We lost two of our cats within a week of each other. They both were poisoned or ate a poisoned mouse.

Please accept our sincere condolences on your lost? Please try to remember the good times you had with Bamboo and he will never be too far from you!! Neal

Thanks guys. I miss any of my pets who have disappeared. I hate wondering what happened, but take a little ease in thinking they have found another good home (I even saw it happen once)... After seeing Bamboo suffer and know that there was really nothing I could do (thousands of dollars were not going to guarantee that he would survive or have a happy life after) it hurts even more.

I am trying to find this plant that I used to have at my house in Florida to put at his grave. It is a gorgeous tricolor foliage plant that I thought was an azalea, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere now. The closest thing I have found to it is tricolor star jasmine, but that doesn't look quite like what I had. I want something nice to remember him by. I am glad that if it had to happen that at least I have a place to put him and remember him... just under the bird houses.

sad to hear about Bamboo.

could you be looking for a variegated Pieris? Flaming silver is one cultivar. Looks similar to azalea and has white variegation around the leaf edges. New growth is pink.

No, that isn't it. The closest thing I have found is tricolor star asiatic jasmine, but i know that isn't it. The pink is not new growth, it is speckled on the leaves just like the green color. this is what the jasmine looks like
