Poll

I would like a mobile version of the FMBC site, even if it meant losing ALL data and starting over.

Yes, it is uber important.

No, leave it as is please.

I am on the fence.

Ok. I'm always behind the ball. Nothing available at Paddy's wagon. Do they tolerate doubling up on sites? If so, anyone willing to double?

Bus Chain Gang at Convict Springs in Mayo Florida January 22-24, 2016.
Looking forward to another great time.
Beautiful time of year, great weather (at least 1/2 the time) depending on where your traveling from.

Group breakfast Saturday morning, come to the pavilion and start cooking to be ready from 9-10am. Emphasis on breakfast burritos.
Saturday night pot luck, 6pm.
Sunday morning many of us have breakfast at the campground restaurant.
Check out the campground at their website http://www.suwanneeriverrendezvous.com/

Map at the bottom of this page http://www.suwanneeriverrendezvous.com/information/

Info on sites/rates

Make your reservations online here https://www.campingfriend.com/suwanneeriverrendezvousresortandcampground/default.asp?file=reservationHercules&external=&tabs=&source=

Extra tidbits.
1) For those not wanting or needing a site with electric or water you can pay the Primitive Fee of $20.00 a night per bus and pull in next to us, the pavilion, or anyone who is with the group and doesn't mind.

2) You don't need to reserve, but it is recommended if you want electric and/or water.

3) I think most electric sites now have 120v 30AMP outlets. It is wise to pick up an adapter (male 120v 30amp 3 wire to female 120v 20a 3 wire).

4) The picnic pavilion we use for cooking and eating and the main fire pit is near sites 40 and 57.

5) For the past 7 years or so we have a local who delivers a trailer of fire wood for $100.00 for use mainly at the main fire pit near the pavilion and donations usually come to right about the cost of the wood. (It's amazing how close it usually comes)

It will be a full moon weekend this year. Usually we shoot for the 4th/last weekend of the month. This year there are 5 weekends in January so we could have done the 4th or 5th weekend, thanks to Don for pointing out that the full moon is the 24th.

I am planning on arriving on Thursday again and leaving Monday.

Very good, we look forward to seeing you.

Thought of a few things to mention to every one. I've had a few people see the pictures of the new RV part of the campground. Don't be alarmed, although that is a very nice RV section that looks like the streets of a gated community, we camp down in the original more primitive looking area near the river.
I mention that the pavilion is near site 40 and 57 in my first post but site 57 no longer exist.

Want to give a little history, back about 13 years ago Kevin77westy and I was looking to have some Bus camping like we kept seeing on this club's site. We talked about it and on our way back from camping Kevin, myself and Jill visited this campground at Convict Springs that Kevin found. I had spoken to a few people at New Bus Resolution in NC and they mentioned how it would be nice to have one people up in the cooler states could come to in the winter so we picked the end of January to give a little space from Freeze your Toe. That's all volks.

Steve, it saddens me to say that due to Sara's declining health, there is no way we will make it to Convict Springs. It was on our "to go" list this year but really not possible now.

Yeah, looks good. Some of us will be arriving Thursday and some staying till Monday. May have some rain early in the day Friday but should clear up later. Saturday we may need to dress warm and stay by the big fire.
