I cannot think of FMBC without thinking of Phil. He was a knowledgeable mechanic and built many engines for many members plus others. He was also at many if not most campouts for many years. I considered him a friend and I will miss him greatly. Especially on Sunday mornings at a campout when we would have our coffee together before leaving early.

I spoke with him a month or so ago. He said he’d been in the hospital but was on the mend.
We were planning to get together to work on the loaner engine once he was fully up to it. So he was was still thinking VW engines till the day he went.
He was a good man and would go out of his way to help anyone.
He will be missed
